Description
To connect with multiple departments of the University of Massachusetts Amherst during their residency, the Tharp company organized an event called Sowing of Seeds. The company and a group of students gathered on a field outside of the Agricultural Department, formed a long diagonal line and scattered seeds out of tin cans. It was a site-specific event.
Other residency activities included Rose’s Cross Country (1970), an afternoon of children’s games and the premiere performances of The One Hundreds (1970) and The Fugue (1970).
